I had some plaid ribbon laying around my house and thought it would make for a pretty fall plaid wreath!
Supplies I used to make this wreath:
- Styrofoam Wreath
- Plaid Ribbon
- Fabric for the rosette flowers
- Crow (optional)
- Needle & Thread
- Hot Glue (optional)
This was a quick project. The first thing I did was to wrap the wreath in the plaid ribbon. While watching tv I made the rosette flowers. I cut strips of fabric (about a foot long each) in three different shades of orange. I twisted each strip tight, then coiled the strips into the shape of a rosette. I used some thread to quickly hand stitch the rosettes so they would not unravel. I used push pins to attach the rosettes but you could tack them onto the wreath by sewing them onto the plaid ribbon you could also hot glue the flowers on. The crow is optional I chose to use it on a mummy wreath, if you want to use the crow you could hot glue it on or use push pins to attach it.
