It’s time for another Rock Your Knockoff Tour! If you missed the first tour you can see that one here. I love the Anthropologie Owl Wreath and thought it would be fun to make my own at a fraction of the cost.
Here is the Anthropologie wreath that I used as my inspiration.
Supplies I used to make this wreath:
- Styrofoam wreath (18″)
- Ivory felt
- Brown Marker
- Hot Glue
- Cardboard for the template
I used a piece of cardboard to cut out the shape of a leaf to use as a template. Once I was happy with the size and shape of the leaf template I traced that onto a sheet of ivory felt and began cutting these leaves out. I used about 60 felt leaves for this project.
After tracing the leaves onto a sheet of ivory felt.
Once I had all the leaves cut out I used a brown marker and drew the lines on. Then I attached the leaves to the wreath with hot glue. After the leaves were all attached I hot glued the owl on. The leaves are done in three rows, the front, inside the ring and on the outside of the wreath, overlapping.
The total cost of this project was roughly $10.00. I already had the glue gun, I purchased a package of felt, the owl and the wreath at my local craft store.
