Last week I started building a new dining table. Unfortunately the staining process has held up completing this project. Luckily I had a few other projects to keep me busy using my new Ridgid 18V Lithium-Ion Compact Dril/Driver. *This is a sponsored post I may have received payment or product however all opinions are my own.
I have to gush over this drill. Last month when I was working on my living room makeover my old drill finally died, no big loss there as I never liked that drill. When Ridgid heard I was down a drill they sent their 18V compact drill to me. I absolutely love this drill! My old drill was so heavy I couldn’t stand to use it. In addition to being far too heavy the engineering of my old drill made removing the battery almost impossible for me. My new Ridgid drill is so lightweight I can work for hours using this without a second thought. The handle fits comfortably in my hand and the grip pad makes it effortless to hold on to. The battery is extremely easy to remove too. This drill has a built in battery indicator to let you know how much power is left in the battery before you need to charge it. It also has a built in light to make using a breeze, especially in spots without a lot of light to begin with.
- 4-Pole Open Frame Motor
- Grip Light
- Hex Grip
- 1/2 in Single Sleeve Ratcheting Chuck
- 2-Speed Transmission
- Removable Belt Hook
What’s included in the box? Two batteries, a heavy duty contractor bag, the battery charger, the drill, a double ended bit, an auxiliary handle and a manual.
I am so impressed with this drill there is nothing I can think of to improve it, it’s that perfect in my opinion! If you follow me on social media you may recall I’ve been helping my neighbor the last few weeks update her kitchen. She too is very impressed with my new drill, she’s considering purchasing one of her own!
Here you can see the battery indicator.

Rigid has launched something very awesome, m totally in love with this drill machine. I waited for a week to get my hands on it and finally it was worth. My hands sit on the grip very comfortably and helps me to complete my work without much hassle. Thanks for sharing this post.
We could definitely use a new drill. We always seem to be wearing ours out.
My husband isn’t really into power tools, but I’d love this one!
I have this very same drill (my second – I baptized the first with polyurethane – don’t ask) and love it! It is by far the best I’ve ever owned!
My hubby loves all his Rigid tools. He won’t use anything but. The very few that I had are now in His workshop. He borrows but never returns them
Amazing that you are building a dining room table! That’s incredible! Hubby would love this!
I do not do DIY projects at home that requires tools. However, I know if my friend saw this he would definitely want me to have it around for him to use.
Woohoo for being back in business. That looks like a workhorse to behold.
My hubby would love this drill!
Ha, I would have very little use for such a thing. On the other hand, my 16 year old son has had his own power tools since he was about 10 and his workshop gets bigger and bigger. He would love it!
Ha! Cool driver! Think my husband already has one but I’ll have to ask.
This looks like something I could really use! There are so many fun projects running through my mind!
My hubs could use that – but sadly we don’t get to have as many projects as we used to. (Home owner’s association doesn’t like us using our patio for things like that.) HOWEVER we have plenty of things in the house to fix.
Truth: I can’t screw in a screw without a power drill. I am way too spoiled. This one sounds really AWESOME.
Now that is something my husband would love to have in his hands! Sounds like a great tool, very versatile!
Wow, I can’t even imagine ever writing the words, “Last week I started building a new dining table.” Very impressive!
😉 I think I’m becoming addicted to building furniture it’s fun and way less expensive then buying it!
My husband has this tool and loves it! Most of his tools are from the Ridgid company!
They really are an awesome company!
I bet my husband would love one of these. We are currently remodeling our bedroom and he is always complaining about his cordless drill not holding a charge anymore.
My husband would be in his glory with that thing! He would make up projects just to use it.
LOL that is so funny I love it!
