I have been using a Berkey Water Filter for a little over a year, the reason I decided to buy this filter is because it’s the only filter I know of that removes fluoride from your tap water. Both my dog and I are borderline hypothyroid, knowing that fluoride affects the thyroid I started buying bottled water for both of us. That was proving to be expensive and a hassle to constantly have to go out and buy gallons and gallons of water, my dog weighs over 100 lbs and he drinks a lot of water throughout the day (being on steroids makes him drink more water, more info on why he’s on steroids can be found here). My sister told me about Berkey and after reading some reviews I decided to give it a shot. I purchased 4 glass gallon jugs to store the water that has been filtered. I must say it’s been a big difference using the filter as opposed to the bottled water. No more running to the store for water or having to use tap because it’s late at night and I’m out of water!
Berkey has different size filters and you can get it with or with out the fluoride filter, if you don’t have fluoride in your city water then you wouldn’t need this additional filter! I don’t have any affiliation with Berkey it’s just a product I love!
