I can’t believe fall is here already! While I will miss the summer, fall has always been a favorite time of year for me. Halloween, Thanksgiving and of course after fall is Christmas!! Work, life and home improvements have kept me so busy this summer, I have had next to no time to post on here (as my fellow home improvement junkies know, my limited time on the net is either on home improvements or FB!). I managed to get some photos of my flowers that I planted for the summer but I didn’t take the photos until I was digging the summer flowers up and replacing them with some Fall Mums, bummer.
I finally got my scarecrows and pumpkins up out front two weeks ago, grr a moth late! We have so many critters around here you are lucky to have your pumpkins survive a week before being devoured! So I have restored to using fake pumpkins 😉 Fake pumpkins have come a long way since I was a kid! My neighbors keep asking me if I sprayed something on my pumpkins to keep the animals from eating them lol! I don’t do Halloween up like I used to (For my fellow Halloween enthusiasts here’s my old house decked out for Halloween click here!) which isn’t such a bad thing since I had to take it all down the day after Halloween, by decorating for fall I can leave it up until the day after Thanksgiving then the Christmas decor goes up!
Here are a few photos of the scarecrows and pumpkins out front, unfortunately you can’t see the beautiful wreath on the front door, it’s all fall leaves (photo to come soon). Some of you may notice I finally ripped out the holly bush (where the scarecrows are) and replaced it with a Hydrangea bush. Tomorrow we are trimming all the shrubs and sweeping the pine needles off the deck and driveway, ahh I forgot how the fall takes up my every weekend raking or sweeping up pine needles and leaves!
I am secretly dying to put my Christmas trees up but what else is knew? Every year I want to decorate for fall in August and for Christmas in October lol! One of my friends and I are going to make some paper pumpkins check back to see these! See you all on FB!
