Exterior almost done!

When I first moved into my house I hated absolutely hated the way the exterior of my home looked from the color of the shutters, porch to the landscaping. The immediate changes I made were cheap ones, painted the front door black, painted the trim around the garage door white and painted the garage door the same berry color as the shutters and finally had the flower bed beside the driveway widened about 3 times larger.

Last year I had the deck sanded, my sister showed up at my house one day with a 5 gallon bucket of stain she got for me and I purchased the products to reface my asphalt driveway. I never got around to doing any of this last year.

Over the last few weeks I’ve been working on the exterior from changing the old wooden lattice to white vinyl (I still have to install the remaining lattice) having a landscaper do a spring clean up and put down fresh mulch, installed additional landscape lighting, painted the railings, shutters and garage door white, stained the deck and refaced the driveway.

Here are the results.

My quick fixes when I first moved in:

All that I have left to do is put a final coat of paint on the railings, install the remaining lattice, trim the bushes and add some accessories such as a large round ceramic flower pot by the front stairs and perhaps a smaller pot by the right of the garage.  This was a long awaited project and I am very pleased with the results so far!
