Decorating for Christmas

Last  year a friend of mine made a beautiful glass ornament wreath and it’s been stuck in my head ever since.  I may just have to give this wreath a try.  I’m not sure where I would put it or what colors I would go with however I love the colors Jeannine used on her wreath, but some other choices would be gold or chocolate.  I’ve seen chocolate brown and bronze ornaments out this year and while those colors would match my decor a part of me loves to use red for Christmas decorating.  So while I think some more about this all glass ornament wreath and share the fantastic job Jeannine did with all of you, I have made some definite decisions for my front door wreath and tree skirt that I hope to make this year!

I came across this tree skirt a few months ago and can’t stop thinking about it, it is the prettiest skirt I have seen thus far.  The red and white will match my tree and gift wrap perfectly, since I use a lot of white ornaments accented by red on my tree and my gift wrap is solid white, solid red and the piece de resistance red and white toile.  The buttons on this tree skirt remind me of an old fashion Victorian dress, it’s so elegant!

The Wreath!  I love to use evergreen wreaths for Christmas and seeing Jeannines glass ornament wreath I wondered how combining the two would look, low and behold a quick google search resulted in finding exactly what I was looking for!  I will be making this wreath for my front door (I may make two of these wreaths for both sides of the front door, why should those passing by the house be the only ones to enjoy this beautiful wreath?).  This wreath should be very easy to mimic!

Off to collect some pine cones and sticks in my yard, I have an idea for using these in a winter display with some craft “ice”!  Check back to see this and other Christmas projects!
